On the Main Games Page, the Sorting system is all out of whack. No matter which Platform or sorter is selected, the Dates of the games are completely out of Order
For example, I’ve selected the Sort of Last Update, and the Dates shown are all out of order
I thought the sorter gives you newly updated games with a few classic or old games that you can select from. That happens to me all the time, but sometimes I find games that you have forgotten.
Yea this needs to be fixed, it used to work and now it’s just a mess.

Unsure if it’s the date that has been changed, so it’s not the latest update date, or it’s just the sorting system that has gone haywire.
The date on the right side is not when we have added the new version of the game to the site but when the developer has released the update.
Here is how the sorting system works.
Latest update: sort by the date the game has been updated on the site.
Old to new/New to old: sort by the date when the games were added to the site.
Popular: sort by views.
Rating: sort by rating out of 5. Has a minimum number of rating threshold to eliminate new games with very few number of ratings to appear here.
If you guys can come up with a better “latest update” sorting rule, feel free to share.
If we sort via actual update release date (the date you see on the right bottom corner) then what if a games releases on 1st November but we get the cracked version in December 7th and update it then? You will not know if it has gotten an update because it will be on 20-30 pages deep.
Sounds right, i just think it’s the date throwing is off i could have sworn it was different a month back, since i regually would check in to see what new updates there where, and i could follow by the date when a tidle was last updated.
But looks like it’s the date show is the date they might have been added to the website?
Since right now it’s a bit confusing sorting after latest updated and the dates are all over the board when looking.
Maybe have a added date, and an updated date, so it’s less confusing?
You are not wrong. We used to show update date there. But people started complaining that the date here doesn’t match the release date in game page so We have changed it. We will do something very soon to make it more obvious.
Adding two dates there might do more confusion than clearing.
Not if they got propper labeling if you did something like a badge
One saying Added: Date and one next to Updated: Date
That should cover that there is no misunderstandings.
I feel it’s more confusing right now, but that is my take on it adleest, and if we could get the best of both worlds with out making it confusing and make sure it’s clear what is what heck that would make everyone happy right 
I have got an idea. How about we add another sorting option.
Sort by “latest update” (current option). Then change the date to the date of update.
Then add another new sort by Latest Release date. That has date of release (like it currently have)
That could be an idea as well.
Even though i think the badge method would require less work, depending on what backend system you are using ofc.
We have added two dates.
Since we do not store the Release date (1) in UNIX format, but plain text, we are not adding sorting by release date just yet.
